Description Full Time / Salary / Exempt WORK SCHEDULE Specific times are to be negotiated with Nursing Chair, since faculty may have different schedules with respect to class, labs, and/or clinical times. JOB SUMMARY The School of Nursing is seeking a nurse educator with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, and innovation. The individual must be able to work collaboratively with a dynamic team, as well as work independently when necessary. This individual will serve as a member of the School of Nursing faculty with responsibility for teaching within the traditional BSN program. Specialties of part interest: Maternal/Infant and Pediatrics Other areas of interest are: Critical Care, and Medical-Surgical Nursing.   RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Functions: Teach didactic and clinicals. Advise traditional undergraduate students. Work under pressure and meet deadlines. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Actively participate in continuous assessment. Serve on committees. Additional duties, consistent with educator’s talents and experience, to support the School of Nursing in the achievement of program outcomes. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. According to SNU policy, all faculty and staff must profess faith in Jesus Christ, possess a strong personal Christian commitment and be committed to the SNU mission to make Christlike disciples through higher education in a Christ centered community.
