    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">                                                                    <span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">      SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a Systems Administrator.</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">The Role</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">The Systems Administrator will report to the Information Technology Manager  and will be responsible for overseeing the integrity and efficiency of our critical information and communication systems.  The successful candidate will supervise a team of IT professionals, ensuring that every digital interaction contributes to the legendary Sandy Lane experience.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Architect and manage a robust backup and disaster recovery strategy, including regular testing to ensure business continuity. Proactively monitor system performance, applying updates, patches, and configuration changes to guarantee optimal security and efficiency.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Analyze server and network activity, maintaining detailed performance logs. Oversee critical security software including intrusion detection systems, advanced virus scanning applications, and enterprise email services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Conduct routine audits of all software and systems to ensure 100% compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing costs and mitigating legal risks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Maintain a meticulous record of all system changes, managing the change management process to ensure stability and minimize disruption to hotel operations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring data security while providing swift support for password resets and access issues.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Act as the final escalation point for complex system problems, employing diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal downtime.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Continuously fine-tune systems, including servers, databases, and networks, to ensure peak performance capable of supporting a high-volume, luxury environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Install, configure, and integrate new hardware and software, ensuring seamless compatibility with our existing luxury technology ecosystem.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Our ideal candidate must possess:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Systems Administration, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within a demanding, 'hands-on' IT environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-weight: bold\">Essential experience with Opera Property Management System (PMS) and Micros Point of Sale (POS) systems is highly preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Expert-level, working knowledge of Microsoft Server environments (including legacy support for Server 2008, migration strategies, and modern equivalents like 2016/2019/2025).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">SharePoint and SQL Server (including 2008 and modern versions).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Networking fundamentals, Active Directory, and Group Policy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Office 365 and Microsoft Azure Administration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">A recognized security certification such as <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CISSP, CISM, or CISA</span> is highly preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Microsoft Certifications, particularly <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Microsoft Cloud Administration</span>, are a strong asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Proven experience managing IT projects from conception to completion, with a focus of on-time and on-budget delivery.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\">Ability to think strategically and lead a team, managing and resolving complex technical challenges.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino\"> </span></p>",
