In this role, you will be processing accounts receivable related activity while following established policies and procedures. It is a hybrid role which will involve mainly working from home. There will be the occasional occurrence that in office presence is requested for collaboration and teambuilding. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Applying customer payments to appropriate trade receivables in accounting system</li>\n <li>Reconciling customer payment activity to bank deposits </li>\n <li>Communicating and following up with customers </li>\n <li>Collaborating and working with the accounts receivable team including the team manager </li>\n <li>Reviewing accounts receivable aging</li>\n <li>Assist in special projects as needed</li>\n <li>This is a remote role but only local to the Chicago market</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>We’re Excited to Learn More About You</strong>  </p>\n<p>Your experience may include: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 1-3 years of practical accounting/bookkeeping experience</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft products</li>\n <li>Understanding of core concepts related to collections including accounts receivable, cash application, customer communication, and management</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of basic accounting terminology and procedures</li>\n <li>An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred; however, we highly value equivalent professional experience and encourage candidates with a strong accounting background to apply.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>You may have other skills or credentials, including: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oracle NetSuite Experience</li>\n <li>Familiarity with accounting for foreign currencies such as the Canadian Dollar</li>\n <li>Self-Motivated, Eagerness to Learn</li>\n <li>Excellent Communication Skills and Organized</li>\n <li>Trustworthy, Dependable, & Reliable</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.
