This includes being a subject matter expert in metrology disciplines such as DC/Low Frequency AC, High Voltage/Current, Resistance, Temperature, Dimensional, Mass, Torque, Flow, Pressure, etc.</strong></p><ul><li>Possess strong foundation in statistical concepts and techniques including but not limited to measurement uncertainty, reliability assessments, and sampling plans as well as being able to successfully implement them. In addition, identify and implement process improvements such as field calibrate before use process, calibration automation, and calibration lab workflow.</li><li>Firm understanding of relevant standards and calibration requirements is essential. Relevant standards include but not limited to ISO 17025, ANSI/NCZL Z540, NCSL recommended practices.</li><li>Travel Required: 10% of the time including occasional overnight stays within the PG&amp;E territory</li><li>Design and develop process improvements to current calibration and repair processes, tools, and applications.</li><li>Create and maintain documentation such as standards, procedures, datasheets, quality plans, job aides, calibration reports, out of tolerance reports, engineering analysis, and non-conformance reports.</li><li>Develop, deploy, and maintain software tools and automation to support M&amp;TE calibrations.</li><li>Investigate and implement advanced metrology methods to improve calibration efficiency and reduce turnaround time for clients. Assesses business conditions, identifies opportunities and develops projects &amp; solutions from a multifunctional or multidisciplinary perspective.</li><li>Perform productive work with minimal supervision/engineering oversight. Exercises independent judgment in leading and resolving problems of large impact, scope and complexity with few precedents or standards requiring integration of information from a variety of sources.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree in Metrology, Engineering, or equivalent -<strong>&nbsp;Required</strong></li><li>7 year&rsquo;s experience working in a Metrology Lab or equivalent</li><li>Ability to read and interpret M&amp;TE specifications</li><li>Ability to perform simple uncertainty analysis</li><li>Computer proficiency with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Visual Basic or similar</li><li>Basic understanding of the fundamentals of AC and DC electronics</li><li>Experience with Digital/Analog instrumentation</li><li>Experience with Dimensional, Vibration, and/or Gas Mass Flow Metrology</li><li>Master of Science degree in Metrology, Engineering or equivalent. - <strong>Desired</strong></li><li>Knowledge of MudCats/MetBench/MOX Metrology Suite (MPS Programming)&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of Structured Query Language, SQL - <strong>Desired</strong></li></ul><p><strong><em>All offers are contingent upon receipt of satisfactory results of a pre-employment drug test and criminal background screening.</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
