Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller will lead the day-to-day accounting function while helping shape financial strategy, strengthen processes, and build a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate brings manufacturing experience, a passion for developing people, and a track record of improving systems, processes, and financial visibility to help organizations scale and succeed.</p><p><strong>What You'll Do...</strong></p><p><em>Financial Reporting and Compliance</em></p><ul><li>Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable accounting standards.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements across all operating regions.</li><li>Own and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.</li><li>Maintain and strengthen internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.</li></ul><p><em>Accounting Operations</em></p><ul><li>Provide leadership and oversight for all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.</li><li>Ensure accounting systems and processes operate effectively and support accurate financial reporting.</li><li>Oversee inventory costing, product pricing, and inventory management processes, partnering with operations and leadership to improve visibility and decision-making.</li><li>Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.</li></ul><p><em>Team Leadership and Development</em></p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and supporting professional growth.</li><li>Build a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative finance team culture.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to support company objectives and improve financial understanding across the organization.</li><li>Serve as a proactive leader who identifies issues, drives solutions, and helps the business scale effectively.</li></ul><ul></ul><p><em>Audit and External Relationships</em></p><ul><li>Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely completion.</li><li>Manage relationships with external auditors and CPA firms and coordinate all audit activities.</li><li>Ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax regulations.</li></ul><p><em>Process Improvement and Systems Leadership</em></p><ul><li>Identify and lead initiatives to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement and implement best practices across finance operations.</li><li>Oversee financial systems and ERP platforms, including enhancements, upgrades, and new technology implementation.</li><li>Recommend and implement tools and systems that improve financial visibility and operational performance.</li></ul><p><em>Budgeting and Forecasting</em></p><ul><li>Partner with the VP of Finance to develop the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.</li><li>Monitor financial performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership.</li><li>Support strategic planning through financial modeling and operational analysis.</li></ul>",
