Description

Overview We are hiring a compassionate and experienced Patient Support Supervisor to work with our clients at The Camp Recovery Center in Scotts Valley! This is a key role whose primary goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our adult clients who have co-occurring disorders (substance use disorder and mental health disorders). The Camp is a 74-bed treatment center providing services to adults on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. PURPOSE STATEMENT: Direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of a patient support team. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Provide medical or therapeutic care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients, following the instructions of physicians or other health practitioners. · Coordinate the work and activities of assigned staff, including setting performance expectations in the day-to-day operations of the unit. · Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage/build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members. · Assist patients with their daily living activities and administer basic health care or treatments. · Participate in therapeutic or recreational group. · Oversee admitting and discharging. · Monitor physical and emotional well-being of patients and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to appropriate staff. Prepare and maintain records of progress and services performed. · Observe and influence the behavior of the patients by communicating, interacting with them, teaching and counseling. · Encourage patients to participate in social, recreational, or other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills or develop social relationships and teach strategies to promote patient wellness and independence. · Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures. · Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat, rehabilitate and return patients to the community. · May provide transportation for patients as needed. · Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: · High School diploma or equivalent required. · Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human service field from an accredited college or university preferred. · Two or more years’ experience with the population of the facility in a patient support role required. · One or more years’ experience as a lead or previous supervisory experience required. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: · CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). · First aid may be required based on state or facility. · May require a valid state driver's in facilities where transporting patients is an essential function. COMPENSATION: Compensation for roles at THE CAMP RECOVERY CENTER varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, THE CAMP RECOVERY CENTER provides a reasonable salary range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below. Role Location : CALIFORNIA Calculated Salary Range for role Patient Support Supervisor State – California: $65,000.00 - $71,000.00 yearly BENEFITS: For Full Time Staff The Camp Recovery Center provides a comprehensive package of benefits for our Full Time Patient Support Supervisor .
