Quality & Risk Documentation: Audit FMAs and Control Plans for all IVI components. Ensure that failure modes related to hardware, software, and system-level interactions are addressed, and that proper linkages and reaction plans are in place. Issue Management: Facilitate the recording and tracking of Class 1 and Class 2 issues identified during plant reviews. Drive the development and closure of the Prevent Action Closure (PAC) process for IVI systems. Continuous Improvement: Update foundation documents and GPDS templates with Global Lessons Learned, incorporating recent data from campaigns and "stop ships" to improve IVI system robustness. On-Site Representation: Represent IVI in FER Exit Meetings with the Global Campaign Prevention Specialist, Program Teams, and Plant leadership, providing technical expertise on system-level risks. Milestone Preparation: Prepare technical evidence and documentation required for Chief Attestations at major gateways, including FDJ, FEC, and MP1. Frequent Travel: Conduct frequent travel to Ford assembly plants to support build phases, audit manufacturing processes, and perform hands-on vehicle assessments. Qualifications You'll have... Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering Experience: 5+ years of experience in IVI, with a balanced technical background across Hardware, Software, Features, and Systems. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of FMVSS requirements as they relate to IVI systems. Tools: Experience with GPDS tools (FEDE, AIMS, Jira) and proficiency in Microsoft Office/Ford SharePoint. Travel Readiness: Ability and willingness to travel frequently to various Ford assembly plants for on-site reviews and audits. Even better, you may have... Advanced Education: M.S. in Electrical, Controls, Computer, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering. Quality Systems: Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Processes (FMA, Six Sigma, etc.) and their application to complex hardware-software systems. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze system-level data and identify potential failure modes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Professional Attributes: Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, provide a clear vision for success, and adapt to a dynamic, cross-functional plant environment.
