    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay Rate:</span>  Starting at $15.00 per hour                  <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours:</span>   Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 3:15pm<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">JOB SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Under the direct supervision of the Art/Special Events Manager, the Art Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of Art Camp curriculum, guiding and instructing campers, and other leadership duties.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist in the creation and implementation of curriculum for all ages of the Summer Art Camp </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Plan and supervise weekly field trip, including transportation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Supervise and swim with campers during swim time</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist students with projects including set-up and clean-up</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Communicate effectively and professionally with participants, parents and staff</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Work within a budget</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform the job safely and in compliance with District policies, procedures, work and safety rules, and the employee handbook</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">If required to drive, you must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving a 14 passenger bus.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s license and comfortable driving a 14-passenger bus</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to work the entire duration of the summer</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrate the ability to provide leadership</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Organized, creative, flexible, and effective communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">One to three years of training/experience in the visual arts field and/or with camps</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Some college education preferred</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Elk Grove Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><a href=\"https://www.elkgroveparks.org/benefits-summary/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Summary of Benefits</a></span></p>",
