Therapy sessions usually run  3-4 hours   and primarily take place during after school hours in the client's home, Community, and/or at our Center. Our team focuses on assigning cases as locally as possible (usually within 30 minutes) to your home address or regular school/other work location Travel time pay and mileage reimbursements are available (when applicable). What we offer: Flexible/Custom Scheduling 401K with Company matching 12 Federal Holidays Off with 5 being paid Overtime Mileage reimbursement & Travel Time Pay (per policy) Pay starts at $20.00 - $23.00 per hour with increases of $1-$4 in the first 3-6 months. One to one case matching / consistent assignment to 1-2 clients Free, self-paced 40-hour RBT Online Program with completion bonus Paid Training Professional Development Opportunities Company provided Tablet for data collection and toys/materials for client engagement Applicants who enjoy and excel in this role may have worked as a:  Paraprofessional, Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Teacher's Aide, Instructional Aide, Daycare Assistant, Childcare worker, Rehabilitative Assistant, Educational Associate, Educational Assistant, Nanny, Tutor, Home Care Aid, Mental Health Therapist, PCA, HHA, CNA, Home Health Worker, Medical Assistant, Psychologist, SLPA, OTA, and Social Worker. Behavior Technician Responsibilities Manage 1 to 1 ABA services for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst Run regular sessions (about 2-5 hours) Flexible hours/custom scheduling Work in home, center, and/or Community settings -depends on client's needs Working with families for effective collaboration Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner Electronic Data collection Implementing individualized behavior support plans Implementing skill acquisition programs Behavior Technician Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Valid Driver's License (Required) Friendly, energetic, and enjoys working with individuals with special needs Experience working with children Ability to attend an initial orientation Timely and organized Ability to work independently Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations About AKABA: Home is the goal of most people; at AKABA, we work with families in their homes, communities and at our center to provide high quality ABA Services.  We are focused on achieving the goal of home with convenience, dignity, safety, and improved health.  AKABA is a private and independent agency founded in 2014 in Massachusetts by health care professionals.
