The Export Compliance Specialist is an integral part of the business and ensures the company remains in compliance with regulatory policies relating to the global export of goods. The individual must be a self starter, problem solver, and keep up to date with the changing regulations and sanctions globally.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Identify and rectify areas of export non-compliance</li><li>Prepare international shipping documentation</li><li>Submit license applications when necessary</li><li>Develop and conduct internal training on export compliance</li><li>Maintain databases of export classifications</li><li>Maintain record keeping per the current requirements</li><li>Proactively classify new parts</li><li>Systematically update the classification of all parts and products</li><li>Maintain USMCA product list and procure producer information</li><li>Authorize the release of export sales orders to the warehouse</li><li>Monitor changes in regulations and global export issues</li><li>Update export compliance procedures and manuals</li><li>Interact with various departments, and employees at all levels, while maintaining a customer focused, team attitude</li><li>Act as a resource to recommend proper shipping channels and processes</li><li>Interact directly with government agencies and freight forwarders as necessary</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in a related field</li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience working in an export compliance program</li><li>Familiar with current export regulations (ITAR, EAR, USMCA, Incoterms, etc.)</li><li>Experience submitting documentation to obtain export licenses</li><li>Strong computer skills, especially with MS-Office applications</li><li>Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision</li><li>Familiarity with SAP ERP system a plus</li><li>Attention to detail is critically important</li><li>Applicant must be a U.S. citizen</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
