The impact of Child Crisis Arizona's work is immeasurable. By joining our team, you would provide critical support and interventions to families in need, helping to break the cycle of abuse and neglect and create strong and successful families. This approach includes both crisis interventions, such as emergency shelter and family reunification services, as well as ongoing support to build family resiliency, including counseling, education, and parenting classes. In 2020 alone, Child Crisis Arizona served over 6,000 children and families through various programs and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains safety, security and supervision of youth at all times, to include oversight and supervision of youth daily routines.
Serves as a positive role model; utilizes approved behavior modification techniques to help youths learn desirable behaviors; provides positive reinforcement and support to all youth.
Assist in developing and training staff on policies, procedures and house schedule.
Serves as the point of contact for policies and procedure compliance in the absence of the Supervisor.
Responsible for the training of new staff as required to ensure understanding and compliance of Shelter or Group Home policies and procedures.
Assist in crisis protocol as needed.
Manage the Calendar to ensure all appointments, outings, visits, etc. are on the calendar and staff are aware of necessary staffing needed to accommodate all appointments.
Assist all volunteers on site to appropriate activities to help within the houses and promote a positive experience for the children and the volunteers.
Delegate house responsibilities to ensure all duties are completed prior to shift ending.
Oversees the planning of group outings/special functions.
Assist conduct monthly audits and review staff training records to ensure all staff compliance in training requirement.
Assist Program Coordinator on all quality assurance checks and program documentation, regular program reports to ensure documentation accuracy.
Performs the duties and responsibilities of Behavioral Health Technician as needed.
Models Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.
Assist in on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma required
Must possess at least 2 years of verifiable work history
Must have minimum 3 years’ experience working with children or adolescent youth within a behavioral health or similar setting.
Experience leading, training, and/or developing staff members to their full potential.
Must have valid Arizona Driver’s license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely and have a clean 5-year motor vehicle history.
Must possess or able to obtain prior to employment a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of the youth in care.
Must maintain all Agency and licensing training and certification requirements as required.
Must have computer knowledge / proficiency such that log notes can be entered as required.
