The Chemical Engineer will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.\\r\\n\\r\\nMinimum Qualifications:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tBachelor&rsquo;s in chemical engineering or related field\\r\\n\\tExperience (yrs.): 0 - 3 years of experience \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nJob Description:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tCollaborate with the sales team to develop markets and project opportunities.\\r\\n\\tInterface with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs.\\r\\n\\tDevelop a quantifiable customer value proposition for each project.\\r\\n\\tReview client project specifications and clarify the level of compliance. \\r\\n\\tDesign pilot test plans and participate in pilot testing activities.\\r\\n\\tManage proposal preparation. \\r\\n\\tApply process optimization strategies, including recycle/reuse/zero-liquid-discharge, resource recovery, and crystallization purification strategies, to process design.\\r\\n\\tPerform heat and material balance, hydraulic calculations, and equipment selection. \\r\\n\\tInitiate technical data sheets for proposals and turnover packages. \\r\\n\\tDevelop a design in collaboration with the other engineering departments.\\r\\n\\tObtain negotiated price quotations from vendors and handle related communications until a project is awarded. \\r\\n\\tPrepare material cost estimates for thermal systems. \\r\\n\\tProvide support in technical clarification meetings with clients and address related proposals, budget, and estimation inquiries. \\r\\n\\tPrepare turnover packages for the project team when the job is awarded to Aquatech, including related budget costs. \\r\\n\\tResolve budget conflicts on awarded jobs. \\r\\n\\tProvide technical data to process engineers as requested. \\r\\n\\tCollect information from vendors regarding new equipment and technologies.\\r\\n\\tParticipate in design validation, including pilot testing and laboratory testing.\\r\\n\\tComplete post-contract engineering activities as needed.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nSkill Requirements:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tAbility to think strategically.\\r\\n\\tAbility to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\\r\\n\\tAbility to work independently with attention to detail.\\r\\n\\tProblem-solving and critical thinking.\\r\\n\\tStrong communication skills\\r\\n\\tStrong leadership skills\\r\\n\\tMaintain focus in a fast-paced environment.\\r\\n\\tProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\\r\\n\\tExperience with one or more process simulation software programs\\r\\n\\tCoursework in process design, unit operations, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena \\r\\n\\tMechanical aptitude/technical background\\r\\n\\tPublic speaking experience\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nBenefits:\\r\\n\\r\\nAquatech offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, company-paid holidays, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).\\r\\n\\r\\nEssential Functions:\\r\\n\\r\\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
