    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p>**2nd Shift, Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 3:30am**</p><p>$2.00 shift differential + overtime on all hours over 8 each shift</p><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>:</p><p>Program, Setup, &amp; Operate a CNC OD/ID Grinder to grind metal or carbide parts while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping accurate records and maintaining equipment and supplies.</p><p><strong>PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES&nbsp;</strong>include the following:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Ability to Program, Setup, Operate &amp; Run a CNC OD/ID Grinder using G&amp;M codes from a drawing, which includes a solid understanding of GD&amp;T. Fanuc, &nbsp;OSP5000 Okuma, Heidenhain experience preferred.</li><li>Measure dimensions of &nbsp;finished &nbsp; workpieces &nbsp;to &nbsp;ensure &nbsp;conformance to &nbsp;specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.</li><li>Measure and adjust the machine tool or tooling according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools while holding tolerances down to .0001&rdquo;.</li><li>&middot; Examine completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.</li><li>&middot; Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.</li><li>&middot; Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, grinding wheels, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.</li><li>&middot; Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.</li><li>&middot; Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.</li><li>&middot; Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.</li><li>Set up, make offset, program adjustments, &amp; operate computer-controlled machines to&nbsp;perform one or more machine functions on metal or carbide workpieces.</li><li>&middot; Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.</li><li>&middot; Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions or numerical control sequences.</li><li>&middot; Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.</li><li>&middot; Remove and replace dull cutting tools.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em>Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.</em></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>&middot; Mechanical &mdash; Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.</li><li>&middot; Stays current with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and studying technical publications.</li><li>&middot; Production and Processing &mdash; Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.</li><li>&middot; Mathematics &mdash; Knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>&middot; Control Precision &mdash; The ability to adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.</li><li>&middot; Reaction Time &mdash; The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal</li><li>(sound, light, picture)&nbsp;when&nbsp;it&nbsp;appears.</li><li>&middot; Problem Sensitivity &mdash; The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
