If you are passionate about supporting individuals in the early stages of recovery and thrive in a collaborative healthcare setting, we encourage you to apply.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong> &nbsp;The Nurse works in the WMS (Detox) setting as a part of a multidisciplinary team to provide medical detoxification and stabilization services for detox and residential clients in compliance with all BestCare policies and procedures, best nursing &nbsp;&nbsp;care practices, and all local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include provision of medication management, taking patient vitals, maintenance of pharmacy/medical supplies, coordination of care with primary care providers for our mental health clientele, and advocacy for excellent patient care to achieve the best patient outcomes.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Works closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent patient care with improved outcomes for clients;</li><li>Takes vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature and CWAA scores;</li><li>Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements;</li><li>Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and support patients, family, and friends;</li><li>Gives injections of medications; immunizations as prescribed by Program and Medical Director,</li><li>Promotes patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patients, family and friends to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions about drug and alcohol addiction;</li><li>Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments;
