You’ll help ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, streamline operations, and enhance the student financial aid experience through technology-driven solutions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Assignments may be short- or long-term and could involve occasional travel. Work hours vary based on each client’s location and support needs. As a consultant, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to select client engagements that best align with your schedule and availability.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities May Include:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>System Implementation &amp; Configuration</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead or assist with implementing and/or configuring financial aid management systems (e.g., Ellucian Banner, Oracle PeopleSoft, etc.).</li>\n<li>Configure system parameters to align with institutional policies and Title IV regulations.</li>\n<li>Manage data conversions, integrations, and testing between the financial aid system and related platforms (e.g., SLATE, Account Receivables).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Consulting &amp; Process Improvement</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct needs assessments to identify process gaps and opportunities for automation.</li>\n<li>Advise on best practices for packaging, disbursement, verification, and reconciliation workflows.</li>\n<li>Develop documentation, process maps, and configuration guides to support consistency and efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Training &amp; Support</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train institutional staff on system use, reporting, and regulatory compliance.</li>\n<li>Create user guides, training materials, and reference documentation.</li>\n<li>Provide ongoing functional and technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Regulatory &amp; Compliance Alignment</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure institutional financial aid operations meet Department of Education and state agency regulations.</li>\n<li>Interpret new regulatory requirements and advise clients on necessary system adjustments.</li>\n<li>Assist institutions with audit preparation, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Reporting &amp; Analytics</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop custom reports and dashboards for financial aid tracking, compliance, and performance analysis.</li>\n<li>Support clients in leveraging data for strategic decision-making.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>6+ years of professional experience in higher education,<span style=\"color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-size: 12pt\"> including system configuration and processing.</span></li>\n<li>Proficiency in one or more Financial Aid software platforms (e.g. Anthology, Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, Jenzabar, Oracle PeopleSoft, PowerFAIDS, Regent, SONIS, Populi, Workday, etc.)</li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-size: 12pt\">Strong understanding of how Enrollment and Student Accounts/Student Financials integrate with Financial Aid</span></li>\n<li>Solid grasp of Title IV regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance standards.</li>\n<li>Proficiency with SQL, Argos/COGNOS, or similar reporting tools preferred.</li>\n<li>Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to align teams toward common goals.</li>\n<li>Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.</li>\n<li>Outstanding written and oral communication skills.</li>\n<li>Aptitude for motivating, developing, and training staff.</li>\n<li>Flexible availability for contract assignments, including potential travel.</li>\n<li>Prior consulting experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel</span></p>\n<p>The position may require travel.
