    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We're looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to provide prescribed treatments of physical therapy that involves a complex and sophisticated level of modalities designed to restore the client to his/her maximum rehabilitation potential.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs initial and ongoing assessments to identify client functional level and ability to communicate.</li>\n <li>Evaluates client speech and language abilities, both defects and assets.</li>\n <li>Evaluates client chewing and swallowing abilities, both defects and assets.</li>\n <li>Develops a plan of care and sets goals in consultation with the physician and other Agency staff.</li>\n <li>Provides treatment according to the physician-signed plan of care.</li>\n <li>Plans and provides rehabilitative services for speech/language and swallowing disorders; performs interim evaluations, if necessary, for recertification.</li>\n <li>Records type of treatment and client reaction; evaluates effectiveness and outcomes of care; revises plan as appropriate and informs the physician and other Agency staff of significant changes in client needs.</li>\n <li>Selects and administers diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and materials.</li>\n <li>Identifies barriers to achievement of desired outcomes.</li>\n <li>Teaches and counsels other Agency staff and caregivers to improve, correct, and accept client disabilities.</li>\n <li>Participates in clinical meetings as directed; consults and coordinates services with other Agency staff involved with client care.</li>\n <li>Utilizes electronic documentation of client care and complies with Agency policy regarding timeliness in submission of documentation. </li>\n <li>Consults with the Nurse Case Manager, Director of Professional Services, VP of Clinical Services, or designee regarding discharge planning with the client and caregiver. Notifies the Agency of imminent discharge so proper notification can be mailed to the physician.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Has a minimum of a Master’s degree.</li>\n <li>Holds a current Speech Language Pathologist license by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology.</li>\n <li>Has a minimum of two full years of supervised work experience.</li>\n <li>Is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and holds membership in the Association.</li>\n <li>Has current CPR certification.</li>\n <li>Has excellent communication, organizational, and human relations skills.</li>\n <li>Is able to function with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>Is able to manage multiple projects/changing priorities.</li>\n <li>Is able to employ critical thinking skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Home Recovery Home Aid is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other classification protected by applicable law.</p>\n<p></p>",
