Travel to Pinellas County community locations such as, but not limited to, hospitals, nursing homes, county jail, Eckerd College, and CASA DV shelter. Schedule is on-call.<strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>ability to access and move freely throughout exam room,&nbsp;</li><li>ability to lift 10 lbs overhead,&nbsp;</li><li>ability to carry 25 lbs,&nbsp;</li><li>ability to walk approximately 150 yards&nbsp;</li><li>ability to sit or stand during the duration of exam, 2-4 hours</li><li>ability to sit in front of computer screen for compile reports&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Computer Literate:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Computer and technical skills sufficient to perform responsibilities and train others.</p><p><strong><u>Job Duties</u></strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To ensure organizational excellence, the incumbent performs Sexual Assault Victim Examinations on victims/survivors of sexual violence crimes. &nbsp;Throughout exam, provides sensitivity and understanding to promote recovery and healing for victims of sexual violence.</p><ul><li>Perform an appropriate and detailed, physical medical or forensic examination to collect evidence and lab specimens in accordance with the SAVE program protocol;<ol><li>The SAVE team sees male and female victims of sexual assault ages 13-17 if they were assaulted by a non-caregiver, and male and female victims ages 18-100.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Participate in 24 hour on-call rotation to respond onsite or in a community setting to perform examination;<ol><li>Should be available for on call for a minimum of one 12-hour shift per week and should be able to physically respond within 60 minutes.&nbsp;</li></ol></li><li>Maintain understanding and sensitive disposition for victims/survivors of sexual assault to ensure comfort during the exam process;</li><li>Create a thorough and accurate medical record on each client examined in accordance with SAVE program protocol;</li><li>Provide medical advice and referrals for SAVE clients as appropriate;</li><li>Attend monthly SAVE Team meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide accurate, expert testimony as requested on SAVE cases;</li><li>May participate in performing SAVE AFTERcare Clinic exams according to Sexual Assault Services protocol;&nbsp;</li><li>Attend training as needed to remain current on best practice in the field;</li><li>Attend and actively participate in all staff development and quality assurance meetings to obtain up to date information on status of program and protocols, as well as obtaining training information relevant to position. &nbsp;Participate in training, orientation, and assessment of new staff as requested;</li><li>Participate in the agency and program&#39;s visionary goals by communicating with SAS manager regarding vision of what the program can become. &nbsp;Provide written and oral communication to the SAS manager regarding current program vision, and status of the program, through open communication;</li><li>Maintain good working relationships with professionals in the community by maintaining professionalism at all times. &nbsp;Establish and maintain good working relationships with Suncoast Center, Inc. employees and volunteers to further an atmosphere based in teamwork;</li><li>Maintain excellent professional conduct including but not limited to personal responsibility, ethical behavior, and treating individuals with dignity and respect. &nbsp;Lead by example as a medical professional in the areas of personal responsibility, treating individuals with dignity and respect. &nbsp;Adhere to all Suncoast Center, Inc. policies including: &nbsp;Ethics, Supervision, Confidentiality, Safety, and Information and Security policies;</li><li>Attend annual HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training, will read and follow the Suncoast Center, Inc.
