Description

About Revel At Revel, we are revolutionizing the way the world's most critical hardware is controlled—across aerospace, automotive, energy, and manufacturing sectors. Our next-generation software stack combines an intuitive command/control interface, a specialized programming language tailored for hardware control, and a high-performance runtime environment. We empower engineers to build, test, and deploy critical systems rapidly, reliably, and safely. Role Overview We're seeking an exceptional Compiler Engineer to join our core platform team. You'll be instrumental in designing and developing Revel’s specialized compiler infrastructure, transforming how engineers write and deploy control software for complex physical systems. Join us to redefine what's possible in software for hardware. Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize compilers for Revel's proprietary hardware control language. Implement advanced compiler techniques including parsing, semantic analysis, intermediate representation (IR), optimization passes, and code generation. Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to refine and evolve our compiler architecture. Improve compiler robustness, efficiency, determinism, and maintainability through rigorous testing and benchmarking. Engage in research and development activities, contributing innovative solutions to complex compiler-related challenges. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Deep expertise in compiler design and implementation using LLVM or custom compiler toolchains. Proficiency in C++ Strong grasp of compiler internals, optimization techniques, and code generation strategies. Proven experience with performance optimization and deterministic system constraints. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a rigorous engineering mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing compilers for domain-specific languages (DSLs). Familiarity with real-time, embedded, or mission-critical systems. Experience integrating compilers within broader software and hardware development ecosystems. ITAR Requirements To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about the ITAR here . Why Revel Join a world-class team of engineers with decades of critical software applications experience. Work on groundbreaking technology that directly impacts critical infrastructure and high-stakes industries with strong early traction. Competitive salary, substantial equity, and significant personal growth opportunities. Collaborative, ambitious, and technically challenging environment.
