This role drives a culture of curiosity, cultural humility, continuous improvement, and evidence-informed practice - all in service of Lantern&rsquo;s mission to champion the independence and well-being of New Yorkers affected by homelessness.</span></p><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Essential Functions</span></h2><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Design, implement, and evaluate training programs rooted in Lantern&rsquo;s foundational evidence-based approaches: Housing First, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cultural Humility.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Lead the growth of Lantern&rsquo;s training department, developing a strategic framework that enhances staff competencies and aligns with organizational priorities.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Build and manage an annual training calendar of large- and small-scale sessions and workshops, utilizing Lantern&rsquo;s Relias Learning Management System to meet core competencies and funder-required training guidelines.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Directly supervise the Training and Learning Coordinator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Partner with senior leadership, Human Resources, Compliance, and the Data Evaluation &amp; CQI team to develop comprehensive capacity-building programs tailored to Lantern&rsquo;s diverse workforce.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Collaborate with staff at all levels and program participants to ensure training programs are inclusive, reflective of evidence-based approaches, and grounded in direct service experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Partner with site and team leadership to identify training gaps and develop targeted professional development plans.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Establish metrics to track training effectiveness, develop transparent monitoring and reporting systems, and assist with grant applications and reports.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Design and lead Lantern&rsquo;s inclusive Training Committee, with diverse staff and participant/consumer representation.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Serve on DEBI, Safety, Harm Reduction, and other organizational committees and working groups focused on clinical documentation, incident review, and policy.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Build partnerships with community organizations, funders, regulatory agencies, and external trainers to advance training quality and promote staff safety, well-being, and morale.</li></ul></div><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Required Education and Experience</span></h2><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited institution.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, curriculum development, or workforce development within the nonprofit or social services sector, ideally in shelter or supportive housing.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Demonstrated expertise in Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cultural Humility.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Proven ability to build consensus, motivate staff at all levels, and manage multiple high-priority projects in a dynamic environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-size: 14px;\">Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and learning management systems.</li></ul></div><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Work Environment</span></h2><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">This role is based primarily at Lantern&rsquo;s Main Office in Midtown Manhattan, with regular travel to supportive housing and shelter sites for training purposes.</span></p><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Physical Demands</span></h2><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb stairs, and/or kneel.
