WHO WE ARE: Since 1999, Northwoods Pet Care Center has delivered exceptional care to animals of all shapes and sizes. Founded by husband-and-wife team Dr. William Kolesar and Julie Kolesar, LVT, our practice was built on a shared passion for animals, a deep connection to our community, and a mission to provide high-quality veterinary care for everyone who walks through our doors—no matter how furry or feathered. We’re a small animal practice serving canines, felines, and small exotics with a wide range of services including wellness care, diagnostics, elective and orthopedic surgeries, and illness visits. Our compassionate and highly skilled team takes pride in going the extra mile for our patients, and the people who love them. WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AT NORTHWOODS: Nestled in a college town that’s just “two hours from everything,” life at Northwoods blends a rewarding veterinary career with a true work-life balance. No weekends: We’re closed Saturday and Sunday. Community connection: We work closely with local rescues and stay involved in community events. Someone who has surgical and ultrasound capabilities A professional who values teamwork, client communication, and quality care. Whether you’re experienced or a newer grad with a passion for learning, we’re ready to welcome you! RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide preventive and diagnostic care for canine, feline, and exotic patients Perform surgeries (routine, elective, and orthopedic) Interpret lab and diagnostic results (in-house Heska lab, digital radiology, ultrasound) Use therapeutic laser treatments when appropriate Build strong client relationships and communicate with empathy Collaborate with our support team to provide top-tier care Paid Parental Leave 401K with company match Paid Licensure and Dues VIN Membership CE Allowance with additional paid days to attend CE events Uniform Allowance And so much more!
