This key leadership role will be responsible for technical excellence, team mentorship, and delivery oversight for mechanical building services projects, while contributing to the continued growth of our mechanical discipline within a rapidly expanding national firm.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<p>As the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you will provide both technical expertise and leadership across a wide range of projects:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead mechanical engineering scope through all project phases, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, budgets, schedules, and client requirements.</li>\n<li>Act as the technical authority for Mechanical Building Services systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, controls, and related systems.</li>\n<li>Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation.</li>\n<li>Perform and review load calculations, including heat load calculations using HAP or similar software.</li>\n<li>Guide and mentor intermediate and junior mechanical engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and consistency across projects.</li>\n<li>Establish, maintain, and improve internal mechanical engineering standards, procedures, and quality control practices.</li>\n<li>Review client specifications, shop drawings, and contractor submissions for compliance with design intent and codes.</li>\n<li>Prepare and review technical reports, studies, and analyses to support design submissions and permit approvals.</li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with project managers and cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high‑quality designs.</li>\n<li>Interface directly with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, suppliers, and contractors as the mechanical discipline lead.</li>\n<li>Support proposal development, fee estimates, and business development initiatives as required.</li>\n<li>Conduct site visits and surveys to provide construction support and resolve field‑related issues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc.
