This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer/technician to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The role will appeal to the practically minded who enjoy a balanced mix of office and site-based work, applying the latest technology and assessing the data produced to help maintain the UK’s critical infrastructure.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do</span></span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertaking a variety of technical inspections using a wide range of technologies (predominately GPR for NDT of structures).</li>\n<li>Understanding and application of technology for undertaking inspections.</li>\n<li>Handling, processing, and interpreting geospatial data.</li>\n<li>Preparing interpretive reports</li>\n<li>Any other duties as required by the business.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Bring</span></span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-2 years’ experience working with non-destructive testing equipment on civil infrastructure (reinforced concrete, steel, buried structures etc.)</li>\n<li>Understanding of Surveying using total station / GPS etc</li>\n<li>Able to process and analyse GPR data using advanced software such as Geolitix</li>\n<li>Ability to produce plans in CAD format displaying the outcomes of the NDT survey</li>\n<li>Survey/Engineering or other relevant qualification for the role – Civil Engineering desirable</li>\n<li>Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of GPR and structures</li>\n<li>Ability to perform detailed field and office inspection work</li>\n<li>Good writing skills and proficiency in the English language</li>\n<li>Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.</li>\n<li>Working during normal working hours and during out of hours as required by the project</li>\n<li>Possess a full clean driving license.</li>\n<li>Ability to work in a Hybrid environment (office/site/home)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Attributes</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practically minded: good problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li>\n<li>Strong report writing, communication skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate technical information effectively</li>\n<li>Attention to detail</li>\n<li>Ability to work at heights, within confined spaces and safety critical roles (training will be provided)</li>\n<li>Possess organisational and time management skills</li>\n<li>Analytical and critical thinking</li>\n<li>Have strong communication and presentation skills</li>\n<li>Enjoy learning new software applications</li>\n<li>Possess the ability to work with autonomy or as part of a team</li>\n<li>Be a problem solver with a positive attitude</li>\n<li>Set high standards for themselves and their services</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits You Will Love</span></span></p>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span>At Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company, you’ll join a collaborative and innovative team where your expertise makes a real impact.
