    "requisitionDescription": "<div><h1 style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Job Summary:</h1><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Senior Network Engineer &ndash; Core/IP Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating i3 Broadband&rsquo;s carrier‑grade IP backbone and aggregation network. This role ensures the scalability, resiliency, and performance of the network that powers broadband, voice, and video services across i3&rsquo;s expanding fiber footprint. The position focuses on advanced routing architecture, network reliability engineering, traffic optimization, and network automation to support multi‑gigabit fiber broadband growth.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Key Responsibilities:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Design and evolve carrier‑grade core and aggregation IP network architecture supporting broadband services.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Implement and manage routing infrastructure using platforms such as Cisco and Nokia service provider routers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Engineer and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS‑IS.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Design highly resilient network topologies with redundancy, geographic failover, and traffic engineering.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop and maintain network automation using Python, Ansible, Netconf, and API‑based configuration tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor backbone performance and perform deep root‑cause analysis on network incidents.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Optimize traffic engineering policies to ensure efficient bandwidth utilization and service reliability.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support backbone connectivity including transit providers, IXPs, and peering partners.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain network documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide Tier‑IV escalation support for critical network incidents and participate in on‑call rotation.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Education and Experience:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">8&ndash;12+ years of experience in ISP, telecommunications, or service provider network engineering environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Extensive experience operating carrier‑grade routing infrastructure.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience designing and supporting high‑availability IP backbone networks.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent preferred.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Skills and Competencies:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, IPv4 and IPv6 architecture.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong expertise with BGP, OSPF, and IS‑IS routing protocols.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with MPLS, multicast routing, and traffic engineering.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with CGNAT and large‑scale subscriber network environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with network automation and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in high‑availability environments.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working Conditions:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, working at a computer up to 8 hours per day.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to operate personal computers, telephones, and other common office equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to climb and work on a ladder</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to install and remove devices from server racks</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Carry up 30lbs</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to work in all weather conditions (snow, rain, etc....)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in after-hours on call rotation.</li></ul></div><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></h2><h2 style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Equal Opportunity:</h2><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">i3 Broadband is an equal-opportunity workplace that respects the diversity of our customer base and our team.
