Compliance impacts many areas of Home Care, and we are seeking an individual with the specialized knowledge and expertise to help ensure excellence in this critical area. Who are we? At Accurate Home Care, our team is dedicated to empowering patients to remain safely and comfortably at home, where they can enjoy the highest quality of life. What’s in it for me? Location: Remote; office time on occasion Hours/days: Part-time 20-25 hours/ week Competitive rate starting: $26.00-$29.00/hour Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Lead and participate in required committees, including Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI), and other associated compliance committees. · Manages and coordinates committee for accreditation standards, re-accreditation process, and implementation of associated policy and procedures. · Serves as company’s QAPI Coordinator. · Acknowledges receipt of complaints, grievances and incident reports, logs them accurately and on time as well as notifies proper parties. · Gathers data from complaints and grievances, clinical chart audits, patient, employee and referral source satisfaction surveys and incident reports to present to QAPI committee. · Create and manage effective action plans in response to audits and compliance violations. · Reviews HIPAA Breach form and completes HIPAA Risk Assessment tool. · Manages an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting use of the Compliance Hotline; heightened awareness of Code of Conduct; and understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policy and procedures. · Understands, researches, and performs audits on all regulatory areas the company is held accountable to on a regular basis to ensure company standards are being followed as defined by various governing bodies. · Maintain compliance with county, state and federal regulations affecting home health care. · Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Requirements: · Associate’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Continuing Education Requirements:· Complete education annually, as required by governing bodies, and/or company policies and procedures. Additional Requirements: · Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English. · One year prior experience required. · Two years of Home Health care experience preferred. EOE, Drug free work environment
