    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>At a Glance</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Legrand </strong>has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor </strong>to join the Cablofil Team in Mascoutah, IL.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsible for direct supervision of all logistics operations in assigned department(s), flow line(s), cell(s) or area(s), and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures customers requested shipping delivery dates are met on time.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Main Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Determines staffing requirements based on the order volume. Handles scheduling shift coverage.</li>\n <li>Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.</li>\n <li>Establishes and maintains employee performance standards. Provides ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations, per company guidelines.</li>\n <li>Provide leadership for quality within the group.</li>\n <li>Promote crosstraining and continuous improvement for all employees to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Provide a greater depth of knowledge.</li>\n   <li>Create more flexibility on all levels of the logistics process.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Accountable for meeting logistics plan, and in doing so, plan and control the efficient use of manpower, machines and other resources to meet and continuously improve upon established standards.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Schedule Attainment</li>\n   <li>Labor Variance</li>\n   <li>Scrap</li>\n   <li>Inventory Accuracy</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Assure a clean and safe working environment.</li>\n <li>Provide new hire safety training and awareness as necessary</li>\n <li>Performs other similar and related duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong>: BS preferred, or equivalent education and experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong>: Minimum two years in a manufacturing environment and effectively leading others.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others.</li>\n <li>Provide guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.</li>\n <li>Requires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment is a must.</li>\n <li>Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified work load.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software</li>\n <li>Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment.
