    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(29, 18, 12); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">POSITION SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Resource Specialist Teacher will develop individual educational plans (IEPs) for the purpose of meeting the individual needs of exceptional learners. Evaluating learners for the purpose of identifying their unique needs will involve consulting/collaborating with staff, parents, and outside partners for the purpose of ensuring appropriate delivery of services and adherence to due process.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Resource Specialist will serve as a specialist in math, reading, writing, and other specialized content areas. Through an inclusion model, the teacher collaborates with general education teachers and support staff in identifying, developing, and applying assessment and instructional intervention strategies designed to improve student learning in specific areas. The Resource Specialist teacher will work in a variety of teaching settings. Resource Specialist teachers share in the responsibility for student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. This is a full-time, exempt, non-year-round position.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(29, 18, 12); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities and Duties </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-style: italic\">Under the supervision of the Principal, the ideal candidate will drive student outcomes:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Promote an inclusive learning environment that builds tolerance and respect for different cultures and viewpoints</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Use data-driven techniques to set realistic and aspirational goals for learners</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrate content knowledge of the  California Common Core Standards</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Differentiate instruction and provide necessary accommodations and modifications for the growth and success of all learners</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Facilitate effective group collaboration </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide timely feedback to students based on formative and summative assessment data</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Facilitate a classroom culture that fosters independent thinking and the ability to express original ideas and engage in civil discourse</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Hold weekly office hours after school tutoring sessions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Build positive and trusting relationships with students, families, and community members <br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-style: italic\">Maintain strong classroom and school culture by:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communicate expectations for learners through clear and consistent methods</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Uphold  school-wide policies and systems for learning  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Create a positive and respectful learning environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communicate the importance of college success and the belief that students  will succeed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop connectedness through Promise Time/Advisory curriculum </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Engage in the school community through responsibilities outside of content area instruction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with school leaders and teachers  to address and resolve student issue</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Contribute to the school community through meaningful engagement in weekly professional learning, team collaboration, and student activities </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Providing a model of inclusion through co-teaching with general education teachers<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-style: italic\">Plan a rigorous curriculum and deliver strong instruction:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the CA Common Core Standards and Assessment, including alternative assessments for SWD</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Execute high impact, evidence-based instructional strategies and scaffolds to meet the individual needs of learners</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Monitor student growth and progress towards mastery of the standards through a continuous cycle of assessment, analysis and planning</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide comprehensive daily and unit plans grounded in content standards and learning theory through a co-teaching model</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Fulfill duties outside of primary teaching responsibility as assigned</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Implement the adopted core curriculum and support school-wide instructional initiatives with accommodations for SWD</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Special projects and duties outside of primary teaching responsibility as assigned<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-style: italic\">Education and  Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s degree required; advance degree in subject area preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Possession of a valid internship, preliminary, or clear California Education Specialist teaching credential in Mild, Moderate/Extensive Support </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated success working with students from educationally underserved areas<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;
