    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Development Engineer to manage supplier quality activities for plastic automotive components, particularly bumper systems, injection-molded parts, and painted components. The role will be responsible for supplier quality assurance, process capability improvement, new product quality approvals, supplier development, and resolution of supplier-related quality concerns.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in plastic component manufacturing processes, supplier quality management systems, APQP/PPAP methodologies, and automotive quality standards.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><h4>Supplier Quality Management</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers manufacturing injection-molded and painted plastic components.</li>\n   <li>Conduct supplier process audits, capability assessments, and quality system evaluations.</li>\n   <li>Drive supplier performance improvements related to quality, delivery, and process capability.</li>\n   <li>Lead supplier issue resolution through structured problem-solving methodologies and corrective action implementation.</li>\n   <li>Collaborate with suppliers on tooling modifications, process changes, and design updates to ensure product quality and manufacturability.</li>\n  </ul><h4>New Product Quality Assurance</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support APQP activities for new product development.</li>\n   <li>Review and approve PPAP submissions and Part Submission Warrants (PSW).</li>\n   <li>Ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and regulatory standards.</li>\n   <li>Validate process readiness and manufacturing controls before production launch.</li>\n  </ul><h4>Process Improvement & Problem Solving</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier manufacturing processes.</li>\n   <li>Lead root cause analysis using quality tools such as:\n    <ul>\n     <li>8D</li>\n     <li>5 Why</li>\n     <li>Fishbone Diagram</li>\n     <li>Pareto Analysis</li>\n     <li>SPC</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Monitor supplier defect trends and implement preventive actions.</li>\n   <li>Support cost reduction and quality enhancement initiatives through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.</li>\n  </ul><h4>Supplier Development</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop supplier capability improvement plans.</li>\n   <li>Train suppliers on automotive quality requirements and core quality tools.</li>\n   <li>Guide suppliers in improving:\n    <ul>\n     <li>Injection molding processes</li>\n     <li>Surface finish quality</li>\n     <li>Painting process capability</li>\n     <li>Defect prevention systems</li>\n     <li>Process control methodologies</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul><h4>Cross-Functional Coordination</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Program Management, and Supplier teams.</li>\n   <li>Support sourcing decisions through supplier quality assessments.</li>\n   <li>Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality compliance.</li>\n  </ul><h4>Quality Systems & Compliance</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Ensure supplier compliance with:\n    <ul>\n     <li>IATF 16949</li>\n     <li>ISO 9001</li>\n     <li>APQP</li>\n     <li>PPAP</li>\n     <li>FMEA</li>\n     <li>Control Plans</li>\n     <li>SPC</li>\n     <li>MSA</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Support customer audits and supplier quality reviews.</li>\n  </ul><h4>Reporting & Performance Monitoring</h4>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Track supplier quality KPIs including:\n    <ul>\n     <li>PPM</li>\n     <li>Defect rates</li>\n     <li>On-time delivery performance</li>\n     <li>Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)</li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li>Prepare management reports and supplier scorecards.</li>\n   <li>Present quality improvement plans and supplier performance reviews.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.</li>\n <li>Experience in automotive supplier development and supplier quality management.</li>\n <li>Exposure to component development and supplier manufacturing processes.</li>\n <li>Experience working with automotive quality systems and production launch activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>8–10 years of Supplier Quality experience in automotive or manufacturing industries.</li>\n <li>Strong experience with:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Automotive bumpers</li>\n   <li>Injection molded plastic parts</li>\n   <li>Painted plastic components</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Hands-on experience in:\n  <ul>\n   <li>APQP</li>\n   <li>PPAP</li>\n   <li>PSW</li>\n   <li>FMEA</li>\n   <li>SPC</li>\n   <li>MSA</li>\n   <li>Control Plans</li>\n   <li>Supplier Audits</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality systems.</li>\n <li>Experience in supplier development and quality improvement projects.</li>\n <li>Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in bumper systems and exterior plastic trim components.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of advanced molding technologies:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Multi-shot injection molding</li>\n   <li>Gas-assisted molding</li>\n   <li>Sequential molding</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Exposure to painted surface quality requirements and appearance standards.</li>\n <li>Experience working with global suppliers and
