We are committed to supporting your success in both your professional and personal lives.</p>\n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>QinetiQ is looking for a Special Access Program Security Officer to support our USASSE customer at Ft. Belvoir.  A  Special Acess Program Security Officer (SAPSO) is a security professional responsible for managing and overseeing security operations, policies, and compliance within classified environments, particularly for working on Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). They serve as the primary liaison and access control between uniform service members, government civilians, and government contractors’ access to SAP.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Security Administration & Compliance:</strong> Implement, enforce, and maintain security policies in accordance with the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), ICD 705 standards, and DoD Manual 5205.07.</li>\n <li><strong>Personnel Security (PERSEC):</strong> Manage personnel security records, initiate program access requests (PARs), and conduct indoctrinations and debriefings (For SAP, by doctrine must be on appointment orders as a Special Access Program Personnel Security Official (SPO, USASSE and Army SAPCO will appoint once contract complete)) SPO Training cert through CDSE, 2nd attachment.</li>\n <li><strong>Physical Security:</strong> Manage SCIF/SAPF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility/Special Access Program Facility) access, conduct daily security checks, monitor alarm systems, and manage visitor control. (Will require CDSE Training/Cert for SCIF Processing and Non-Processing Facility)</li>\n <li><strong>Information & Material Control:</strong> Oversee the proper handling, storage, inventory, and destruction of classified documents and COMSEC material.</li>\n <li><strong>Inspections & Audits:</strong> Conduct internal self-inspections and prepare the facility for annual government audits and vulnerability assessments.</li>\n <li><strong>Training & Education:</strong> Conduct security briefings, training, and education programs to ensure employees are aware of their security responsibilities.</li>\n <li><strong>Incident Response:</strong> Respond to, investigate, and resolve security incidents and violations. </li>\n <li><strong>Additional Mandatory training:</strong> SAP Overview / Introduction to SAP / SAP Mid-Level.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have an active TS / SCI Clearance #qinetiqclearedjob</li>\n <li>Minimum of 7 years security-related experience, preferably in a DOD or federal environment.</li>\n <li>Minimum three (3) years experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Special Security Representative supporting the USG. </li>\n <li>Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and be willing to actively communicate with co-workers, program leadership, and clients</li>\n <li>Experience in the operations, physical security assessments and inspections</li>\n <li>Experience with working in a fast-paced and constantly changing setting, providing support to VIP customers to include 3/4 Star Generals, SES civilians, and Presidential Appointees staff; as well as other DA customer users and their VTC participants</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company EEO Statement</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Accessibility/Accommodation:</strong></p>\n<p>If because of a medical condition or disability you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please send an e-mail to [email protected] or call (540) 658-2720 Opt. 1 and let us know the nature of your request and contact information.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>QinetiQ US is an Equal Opportunity employer.
