Orlando Health is committed to providing you with benefits that go beyond the expected, with career-growing FREE education programs and well-being services to support you and your family through every stage of life. <strong>We begin your benefits on day one</strong> and offer flexibility wherever possible, so that you can be present for your passions. “Orlando Health Is Your Best Place to Work” is not just something we say, it’s our promise to you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Why is Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health your best place to work?</u></strong></p>\n<p>- <strong>Education & Career Growth</strong> – Tuition reimbursement, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), and leadership development programs.- <strong>Health & Wellness</strong> – Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, free virtual visits, and well-being programs.- <strong>Financial & Retirement</strong> – Up to <strong>5% employer match</strong> on retirement contributions.- <strong>Work-Life Balance</strong> – <strong>Four weeks of paid parental leave, PTO, and flexible leave options.</strong>- <strong>Family & Pet Support</strong> – Fertility benefits, adoption assistance, backup care for children/elders/pets, and pet insurance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong> Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.  Recognizes deviations from normal in the physical assessment; works collaboratively to formulate treatment plans.  Implements appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, admission and discharge care in accordance with written practice protocols.  Initiates appropriate actions to facilitate the implementation of therapeutic plans that are consistent with the continuing healthcare needs of patients.  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.  Demonstrates caring practices by providing a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.  Demonstrates awareness of legal issues and patients’ rights.  Identifies, analyzes, and resolves patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care.  Dictates and documents an accurate and timely manner.  Maintains provision of preventive health services.  Conducts or participates in daily multidisciplinary rounds.  Performs detailed history and physical examinations and documents inpatient H & P and discharge summaries (Must be reviewed and countersigned by supervising medical staff member within 24 hours and may not be substituted for physician H & P).  Writes or dictates reports and progress notes appropriately in the medical record. Triages patients.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p>- Outpatient GI Experience Required *</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong> MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing required or Graduate of accredited physician assistant program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification </strong> Maintain current physician assistant licensure or Florida ARNP License in State of Florida.  If a Physician Assistant : Maintains NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).</p>\n<p> If a Nurse Practitioner : Maintains national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board. Maintains BLS certification.  Maintains ACLS, NRP, PALS certification as required by department.</p>",
