We offer a full turnkey experience for our clients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For our employees, we offer rewarding benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, and 401k (with company match). </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and participate in E-Verify.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p>FiberTel, LLC is looking for a <strong>Coax Splicer Supervisor </strong>for our San Jose, CA market.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Coax Splicer Supervisor </strong>will oversee our coax splicers, ensuring all projects are completed on time while exceeding quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to provide on-the-job training to the Splicing team. This position will need to be flexible in their hours, with occasional on-call duties including night and weekend work. The Splicer will frequently communicate with the customer and act in a professional manner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Pay: $85-105k/yr, DOE</em></p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Install and repair coax. </li>\n <li>Assist in coax splicing </li>\n <li>Setting up a safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers </li>\n <li>Flagging traffic when required </li>\n <li>Flexibility to work in multiple locations </li>\n <li>Prepare splice locations, termination points, and installation of splice closures </li>\n <li>Clean, maintain, stock, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment daily </li>\n <li>Drive and properly use a bucket truck </li>\n <li>Operate splicing equipment  </li>\n <li>Submit daily time cards for crew members </li>\n <li>Fill out audit sheets per location (per splice) </li>\n <li>Test and troubleshoot fiber using an OTDR </li>\n <li>Follow all safety rules and regulations </li>\n <li>Update job completion sheet </li>\n <li>Pull fiber when needed </li>\n <li>Complete cut sheet </li>\n <li>Pre-Trip vehicle inspection (daily) </li>\n <li>Ability to work at night /various hours. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.  </li>\n <li>Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.  </li>\n <li>A good driving record is required.  </li>\n <li>2-3 years experience leading teams</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.  </li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.  </li>\n <li>Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).  </li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.  </li>\n <li>Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.  </li>\n <li>Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance  </li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights and weekends  </li>\n <li>Understanding of terminology used in coax splicing  </li>\n <li>Experience splicing coax including all necessary steps  </li>\n <li>5+ years’ experience splicing coax</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Previous fiber experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry.  </p></li>\n <li><p>Able to perform all duties in fiber optic construction  </p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to travel.  </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling.
