We pride ourselves in being leaders in precast concrete innovation, building more energy efficient, sustainable, and safe structures.</span></p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>Working as part of a team, this position is responsible for performing general labourer duties in a precast concrete manufacturing facility.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and hazard free workspace.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management to complete work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, with minimal supervision.</li><li>Must be able to read and write in English and understand basic mathematics and measurements.</li><li>Safely operate power tools and equipment related to job/task.</li><li>Visually inspects all equipment, personal protection equipment for faulty equipment, worn out parts, and immediately reports his findings to Lead Hand or Supervisor.</li><li>Placement of standard materials related to product, such as:&nbsp; insulation, erection hooks, etc.</li><li>Mix, pour, rake, shovel, vibrate and finish concrete.</li><li>Tie reinforcing, such as rebar to rebar, rebar to mesh, mesh to mesh, under specific direction.</li><li>Nailing and fastening wooden forms under specific direction.</li><li>Perform other general labourer duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Education And/ Or Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of a high school diploma is an asset.</li><li>Previous labourer experience in the concrete and/or construction industry is an asset.&nbsp;</li><li>Certified crane or forklift training is an asset.</li><li>Ability to use and read a tape measure is an asset.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret shop drawings is an asset.</li><li>Experience operating specialized concrete fabrication equipment is an asset.</li><li>Experience operating overhead crane and/or forklift is an asset.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>While performing the duties of this job you are regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, lift, climb, push-pull, kneel, crouch, twist, bend, and stoop.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul><li>May require working in hot (32C) and cold (-25C) temperatures.</li><li>May require walking on terrain that may be uneven, muddy, and slippery.</li><li>Exposure to dust, cement powder, water mist or vapor.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Hours Of Work</strong></p><ul><li>8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.&nbsp; Working hours are subject to change based on business needs.</li><li>Must be available to work weekends as required by the business needs.</li><li>Must have a willingness to work overtime as required.</li></ul><p><i>This posting is intended to build a talent pool for future opportunities.
