The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, develop, and&nbsp;retain&nbsp;employees while focused on uncompromised excellence in safety, quality, and productivity.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong>:&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Creates and&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;a culture where safety is the number one priority at all locations.&nbsp;</li><li>Plans operating schedules to meet sales demand with maximum efficiency and equipment&nbsp;utilization.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares reports on production,&nbsp;manpower, budgets, etc. for use in corporate business planning.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares and implements mine plans at all locations to maximize reserve life and minimize overall production cost.&nbsp;</li><li>Schedules maintenance of equipment and/or plants to&nbsp;insure&nbsp;maximum production capabilities with high availability.&nbsp;</li><li>Research and develop new ways to cut costs and improve production.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance with corporate policies and&nbsp;objectives, including safety, personnel, insurance.&nbsp;</li><li>May be called upon by the SMA Vice President to perform other duties.<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">  </span>&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain internal relationships with sales personnel, quality personnel, safety and environmental staff, managers of other operating&nbsp;units&nbsp;and accounting personnel.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain external relationships with vendors, governmental agencies, outside&nbsp;salesmen, and customers.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geological engineering or similar is preferred but not&nbsp;required.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing operations and/or engineering as well as&nbsp;significant experience&nbsp;in aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying and underground mining.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel supervisory role&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication&nbsp;and leadership skills are necessary.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic surveying and mapping skills are&nbsp;required.&nbsp;</li><li>Proven safety record and excellent compliance&nbsp;in&nbsp;MSHA safety standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of&nbsp;AggQC&nbsp;and&nbsp;AggFlow&nbsp;is a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of accounting principles.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to develop strong leadership at all levels.<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"> </span>&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.</strong>&nbsp;As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company&nbsp;perks, including:&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance&nbsp;plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution.&nbsp;</li><li>Company&nbsp;provided Group Life and Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment&nbsp;insurance.&nbsp;</li><li>Retirement 401(k)&nbsp;with company contribution and match&nbsp;at one year of service.&nbsp;</li><li>Company provided&nbsp;Short- and Long-Term Disability.&nbsp;</li><li>Paid Holiday’s including Christmas shutdown between&nbsp;Christmas and New Years&nbsp;Day.&nbsp;</li><li>Paid vacation&nbsp;available&nbsp;after 180-day probationary period&nbsp;and&nbsp;accrued&nbsp;based on years of service.&nbsp;</li><li>Annual performance-based merit increases.&nbsp;</li><li>Career growth/advancement&nbsp;opportunities.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>RGI EEO Statement</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><i>It is the policy of Rogers Group, Inc. to recruit, hire, and promote individuals based on&nbsp;demonstrated&nbsp;merit and qualifications.
