Work is both technical and hands-on in nature and relies on experience and independent judgment to perform the functions of the job.</p>\n<p>Other responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications and clarifying scope of work for projects. Reviews and analyzes documentation, materials, and calculations, to ensure compliance with customer, product, safety, quality, and industry standards and requirements. Set engineering standards and direction focused on continuous improvement, increased efficiency, and cost reduction.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position prepares detailed 2-D and 3-D Autocad drawings of projects during the design phase. He or she will ensure that drawings are accurate and completed in a time efficient manner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Be</strong></p>\n<p>Major responsibilities of the position are listed below.  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be trained to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Establishes scope and detailed requirements for all projects with Instrumentation and Controls.  </li>\n <li>Reviews customer specifications and prepares technical specifications defining the control requirements on the project for third party control system Design/Manufacturing Company. Reviews and manages deliverables of the control system to ensure adherence to the requirements of the project.</li>\n <li>Provides engineering support to procurement for instrumentation and control systems, to develop alternatives which meet specifications, lead times and cost.</li>\n <li>Works in conjunction with Project Managers/Project Engineers/Designers to ensure that project scope of work for equipment package control system design are clearly defined for the project.</li>\n <li>Support applications / sales team for instrumentation & control design and specifications and on technical issues related to preparation of proposals.</li>\n <li>Finalizes control system architecture for the equipment package and selects control system hardware based on customer specification and project requirement.</li>\n <li>Prepare Bills of Materials and Component Specifications.</li>\n <li>Prepare 2-D and 3-D Autocad General arrangement drawings</li>\n <li>Communicates and follows-up regularly with team members to ensure tasks are completed</li>\n <li>Regularly reports status to project stakeholders through multiple formal communication methods</li>\n <li>Owns the technical analysis of customer inquiries, control RFQs, or tenders, to determine proposal requirements, and scope of supply.</li>\n <li>Commercial quotation activities include the development of technical descriptions, cost estimates, project schedules & commercial terms.</li>\n <li>Communicate directly with internal and external customers, evaluate on-site project conditions during tendering phase.</li>\n <li>Understands hazardous area classification requirements to finalize, design and layout of the electrical/control instrumentation on a package.</li>\n <li>Sizes instrument cables, junction boxes, conduit, cable trays and layout of instrument/electrical on the package within the guidelines of Oil & Gas industry codes and standards.</li>\n <li>Prepares controls schematic, P&ID, cable schedule, wiring diagrams and logic diagrams.</li>\n <li>Designs, develops, and debugs PLC based programs and electrical control systems.</li>\n <li>Provides support to manufacturing during assembly of the package, inspection, calibration, loop checking, and factory acceptance test (FAT).</li>\n <li>Can support start-up assistance during commissioning of equipment package at site.</li>\n <li>Develops operating procedures, acceptance test and validation test plans and protocols.</li>\n <li>Develops engineering design tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of work.</li>\n <li>Identifies and executes product standardization opportunities and participates in new product development programs.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics/Control Engineering required</li>\n <li>4+ years Instrument & Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of instrument & controls system design and its application for Oil & Gas process equipment packages.</li>\n <li>Experience in programming PLCs, HMI, sequence logic design, PID loop design and implementation.</li>\n <li>Technical skills to create, read, and understand Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs).</li>\n <li>Demonstrate a broad knowledge of industry standards (API, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.).</li>\n <li>Advanced PC skills including MS Excel and CAD skill</li>\n <li>Logical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li>\n <li>Works well in a cross-functional, open-communication environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements (Requirement): Travel required - </strong>Ability to travel domestically, 10-25%</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ADA Requirements</strong>Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Concentrated mental and/or visual attention.
