We’re glad you’re considering joining our team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>❓<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role: </span></p>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Recovery Support Specialist </span>plays an essential role in supporting clients throughout the entire treatment experience—from admission to discharge. RSS team members help maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment by assisting clients with daily routines, supporting treatment goals, monitoring safety, and providing compassionate engagement rooted in trauma-informed care.</p>\n<p>This position ensures that program expectations are upheld, collaborates with clinical and medical staff, and provides hands-on support to clients experiencing substance use, co-occurring disorders, crisis moments, and early recovery challenges.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>🗝️<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Client Support &amp; Engagement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist clients with daily living activities, recreation, community meetings, and scheduled appointments.</li>\n<li>Provide full orientation to all new clients, including rules, expectations, schedules, and facility layout.</li>\n<li>Review and support client participation in recovery activities; communicate observations to appropriate staff.</li>\n<li>Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational, recovery, or skills-based groups under supervision.</li>\n<li>Assist clients experiencing emotional, social, or health-related crises and escalate appropriately.</li>\n<li>Support client vocational, recovery, and post-discharge goals as directed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety Monitoring &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor clients to ensure safety, adherence to program expectations, and policy compliance.</li>\n<li>Conduct vital signs, urine drug screens, and breathalyzer tests per protocol; maintain chain-of-custody documentation.</li>\n<li>Assist in monitoring and maintaining client medications per site policy.</li>\n<li>Conduct scheduled safety checks, rounds, and environmental oversight.</li>\n<li>Ensure the facility complies with fire safety policies, visitor policies, and emergency procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Facility &amp; Operational Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide clerical support to the treatment team, including scheduling, documentation, and front desk operations.</li>\n<li>Support meal service, housekeeping oversight, and general facility organization.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and documentation within the EHR.</li>\n<li>Assist staff and leadership with program-related needs to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Transportation &amp; Community Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safely transport clients to appointments, recovery meetings, grocery stores, or approved community activities.</li>\n<li>Support client participation in external resources and community-based services.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>✅<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Required Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li>At least 21 years of age.</li>\n<li>Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days </li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license required</li>\n<li>Ability to pass background checks and motor vehicle screening.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Preferred</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in human services, or related field.</li>\n<li>1+ years of experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or residential services.</li>\n<li>CNA and or QMA</li>\n<li>Experience or knowledge of 12-Step programs, peer recovery principles, or dual diagnosis treatment.</li>\n<li>Personal or professional experience with recovery (minimum 2 years sustained recovery if applicable).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>🏢<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Conditions / Physical &amp; Mental Demands</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Environment:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indoor residential treatment setting with moderate activity level.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance.</li>\n<li>Ability to assist clients in physical tasks and respond to emergencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cognitive/Emotional:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced settings.</li>\n<li>Maintain professionalism with clients experiencing withdrawal, emotional distress, or crisis.</li>\n<li>Sustain focus for documentation and monitoring responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>💙<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why You’ll Love Working Here</span></p>\n<p>The work we do truly changes lives.
