    "description": "<p>The Solar &amp; ESS Field Technician <span><span style=\"color: #404040\">provides maintenance, inspections and verification on ongoing and existing commercial solar and battery storage projects. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll do:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Solar &amp; ESS Field Technician has responsibility for operation and maintenance related functions on commercial solar arrays.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the operation and maintenance of commercial, industrial, and utility solar power &amp; ESS plants in accordance with established standards and procedures; always maintains safety and professionalism throughout Illinois.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment. Test installed equipment, ensuring proper working order including daily mechanical electrical inspections.          </li>\n<li>Perform progress, mc, sc and preventative maintenance inspections with thorough reporting.<br></li>\n<li>Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment.</li>\n<li>Perform sUAS(drone) and handheld infrared thermography inspections (job training as needed).</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate documentation of O&amp;M activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.<br></li>\n<li>Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to; work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll need for success:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Two (2) years of technical experience (electrical, etc.) and/or technical education</span></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining commercial or utility solar arrays</span></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record</span></span></li>\n<li>Understanding of solar photovoltaic, energy storage, and microgrid applications</li>\n<li>Understanding of electrical and mechanical functions of all components of solar site and associated equipment<br></li>\n<li><span>Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams / schematics, SLD and Electrical Construction Drawings</span></li>\n<li>Experience with PV and electrical systems including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring</li>\n<li><span>Experience with Material Takeoffs for replacement of failed/damaged equipment</span><br></li>\n<li>Experience with the operation of various SCADA systems  </li>\n<li>Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard practices  <br></li>\n<li>NABCEP and OSHA 30 preferred.  <br></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ability to climb / work safely from a portable step ladder and on rooftops</span></span><span><br></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds)</span></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Willing to travel up to 30% of the time with some overnights and on call availability. </span></span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></span></p>\n<p>Continental Energy Solutions (CES) offers end-to-end commercial renewable energy solutions.
