The dental school prepares graduates in general dentistry and the dental specialties to deliver compassionate and ethical oro-facial health care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Read more about the School of Dentistry: OHSU School of Dentistry </p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p>The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university¿s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position reports to (supervisor): Dr. Lyndie Foster Page, Associate Dean Dental Public Health</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The duties of this position include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Providing direct patient care to Russell Street Patients</li>\n <li>Participation in the education of residents and dental students, establishment and maintenance of a program of specific and general scholarly activity</li>\n <li>Clinical teaching in a clinical setting at the both the graduate and predoctoral level</li>\n <li>Other activities: participating in dental research (including clinical research), participating in strategic planning activities, delivering continuing dental education </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Oregon Dental License, unrestricted, (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment)</li>\n <li>Dental degree (DDS/DMD) unrestricted, from a CODA accredited school</li>\n <li>BLS from AHA required. New hires will be enrolled in an OHSU training course and will be required to complete the course during the onboarding process</li>\n <li>Ability to leverage creativity, resourcefulness, and sound judgment in the analysis and resolution of dental and administrative problems; strong leadership, teamwork, and crisis management skills</li>\n <li>Comprehensive skill and ability to apply modern methods, principles and practices of four-handed and advanced general dentistry. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bilingual in English and additional languages is encouraged</li>\n <li>Public health experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p>#sodfacultyjobs</p>\n<h2>Why apply to OHSU?</h2>\n<b>We are Oregon's only public academic health center.</b> In addition to caring for patients, we lead groundbreaking research.
