The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day management of construction projects required to build a quality project including, safety, cost estimation, contract administration, schedule management, and risk-quality management. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Brinkmann Constructors, we don't just build buildings - we build community, relationships, and a team that inspires confidence. Our passion is building.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Execute and enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures ensuring project site is kept clean and organized. Conduct weekly safety inspections and monthly safety audits. </li>\n <li>Enforce quality standards, processes and procedures; conduct quality control audits.</li>\n <li>Support the preconstruction efforts in regard to estimating and takeoff, cost, and duration of project.</li>\n <li>Assist in the negotiated and hard bid estimate process, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the plan specs to propose value engineering solutions. </li>\n <li>Analyze subcontractor bids, assist in selection and execution of subcontracts.</li>\n <li>Assist in the preparation of bid proposals for submission to the owner.</li>\n <li>Prepare permit application and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the coordination of material and equipment procurement and expediting.</li>\n <li>Determine construction requirements, procedures and maintain proper project documentation.</li>\n <li>Generate and maintain RFI process and responses, submittal logs, change orders, and meeting minutes.</li>\n <li>Follow and promote established project standards, processes, and procedures.</li>\n <li>Anticipate and identify project issues and risks, proactively working with project team to present solutions and solve problems.  </li>\n <li>Direct, coordinate, and monitor the activities of subcontractors on site to ensure specifications are met.</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Key success factors include passion for the industry, self-motivated, strong work ethic, good time management, organized, creativity, and excellent communication skills</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Architectural or Construction), construction management or related field required.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated knowledge of required safety standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>1+ years' experience in construction.</li>\n <li>Prior conceptual estimating and bidding experience with emphasis in commercial construction is preferred.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with computer applications including Procore, P6, Microsoft Office suite, and SharePoint.</li>\n <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company, for this position currently or in the future.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Project Engineer’s work is performed in a main office or field office at the construction site as well as outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise levels may ranging from moderate to loud. </li>\n <li>Physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 50 pounds and standing, walking, sitting, viewing a computer screen, talking, and hearing. </li>\n <li>Construction site will change or vary and/or position may require travel. </li>\n <li>Proven ability to work with a high-level of autonomy as it relates to decision-making that impacts company results.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Brinkmann Constructors, our passion for people means investing in their financial, mental, and physical well-being.
