Students learn English whilst immersing themselves in the local culture and surroundings.  Our programmes are a combination of language classes, exciting excursions and fun-filled sporting, creative and social activities. <br> <br>From its humble beginnings in Hastings over four decades ago, Embassy Summer has today evolved in to a globally recognised and trusted brand.  Our vision is to help our students succeed in a global community.  We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections.<br><br>__________________________________________________________________________________<br><br><b>Position Summary:</b><br>The<strong> </strong><strong>Night Supervisor</strong> is responsible for the security, supervision, welfare and discipline of students overnight within the residence and is on call in case of any emergency.​​​​​<p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students under your care and those you interact with.</li><li>Ensure the Centre operates to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety, safeguarding, HR practices.</li><li>Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Specific duties include:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure student welfare is maintained by carrying out regular inspections of the residential areas during the duty period.</li><li>Promote and safeguard the welfare of students in line with legal, accreditation and company requirements.</li><li>Establish a routine of checks to ensure students are in their rooms and lights are out.</li><li>Retain responsibility for holding the master keys to residential buildings during duty shifts.</li><li>Assist with arrivals and departures when these fall during the duty period.</li><li>Act as a representative of the management team, being the representative in case of emergency and calling the duty manager when appropriate.</li><li>Report any major security issues to the Centre security staff and the Centre Manager.</li><li>Ensure communal areas are kept tidy and report any unnecessary untidiness or damages.</li><li>Help with centre laundry during the night – Activity Leader t-shirts & towels.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Organisational Compliance: </strong></p><p>The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. </p><p>Employees are required to comply fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety, including implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training. </p><p><br><strong>Education Required: </strong></p><ul><li>Degree-level education or equivalent (or currently pursuing).</li><li>Valid First Aid Certificate (desirable).</li><li>Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 (desirable – if not in possession, Embassy Summer will provide the necessary courses upon successful selection).</li></ul><p><br><strong>Experience Required: </strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience working in customer facing industry, ideally with multi-cultural aspect.</li></ul><br><strong>Experience Desired: </strong><ul><li>Previous experience working with juniors.</li><li>Experience managing a summer school environment.</li><li>Night patrol experience.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Personal Attributes: </strong></p><ul><li>Flexibility to work unsociable hours.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li><li>Ability to solve complex problems and manage challenging situations.</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team & independently.</li><li>Uphold appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking.</li><li>Positive attitude toward maintaining authority and discipline.</li><li>Clean driving license/own car (desirable).</li><li>High attention to detail.</li><li>Fluent in written and spoken English (knowledge of any other languages is considered advantageous).</li></ul><p><br><strong>Eligibility and Safe Recruitment:</strong> </p><ul><li>Must be eligible to work in the EU.</li><li>Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.</li><li>All CV gaps must be satisfactorily explained.</li><li>Proof of identity and qualifications (if applicable) required.</li><li>Clear Criminal Record Check and references must be provided before signing the contract.</li></ul><p><br>__________________________________________________________________________________<br><br><strong>Working Week: </strong></p><ul><li>6 nights per week.<ul><li>4 nights (23:00 -
