Description
Responsible for managing infrastructure that supports the Third-Party Administrators (TPA) product solution that allows BCBSM to bring competitive product offerings to market and support the product moving forward.
Serve as a liaison between the group, operations, group account leaders and Information Technology to ensure roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations are clearly defined and followed by all for effective operations.
Define and lead a process to support and manage FlexLink relationships that exist with TPAs as well as customer groups who support this solution.
Work with operations to clarify roles, responsibilities and expectations; Support new programs, initiatives or regulations.
Manage, create and enhance reporting for Flex Link related performance to ensure timely claim processing.
Partner with operations to establish an appropriate cadence and produce a performance tracking report for all FlexLink related groups and entities.
Collaborate with claims and Blue Card operations sales and operations to resolve sensitive issues and establish best practices.
Guide sales team in planning and attend customer meetings when appropriate.
Provide proactive communication with both internal and external FlexLink customers on new offerings, government mandates, and business initiatives that impact FlexLink.
Collaborate with RIDGG on all regulatory issues that impact FlexLink group's TPAs, groups and customers.
Work with IT and operations to ensure smooth implementation of new groups and provide changes to FlexLink guide and operating procedures.
Educate key business areas across the enterprise on Flexlink issues and products.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required. Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the healthcare industry is required.
Experience with Third Party Administrator and self-insured offerings and solutions preferred.
Extensive knowledge of the BCBSM product portfolio, system architecture, operations, and financial alternatives.
Strong understanding of claims processing.
Extensive knowledge of the FlexLink product and associated processes.
Extensive knowledge of the health care industry.
Ability to frame and structure problems, discern critical issues, and drive solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
