    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of internal combustion engines, electrical circuits, and mechanical systems used in power generation equipment.</li>\n <li>Determine overall mechanical condition of generators and equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and initiate repair actions.</li>\n <li>Systematically analyze equipment issues through visual/auditory inspection and test equipment.</li>\n <li>Utilize diagnostic computer programs effectively.</li>\n <li>Perform operational inspections and ensure equipment is properly serviced prior to rental.</li>\n <li>Complete repairs such as replacing engine heads, seals, accessory components, and performing engine overhead adjustments.</li>\n <li>Repair, adjust, or replace major assemblies and sub-assemblies including generator ends, radiators, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.</li>\n <li>Use technical manuals, wiring schematics, test equipment, and Cummins-based diagnostic software proficiently.</li>\n <li>Follow all established safety policies and standards.</li>\n <li>Safely operate hand and power tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, welders, and cutting/grinding tools; properly handle hazardous waste.</li>\n <li>Teach and guide Level 1 technicians on generator fundamentals.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot equipment issues with customers over the phone as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on power generation equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform accurate mechanical inspections and document findings.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Communicate equipment status and repair timelines with operations and customers.</li>\n <li>Support after-hours service calls as required.</li>\n <li>Safely move, lift, and position equipment using forklifts and overhead cranes.</li>\n <li>Complete service documentation, work orders, and reports using computer-based systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 2+ years of experience in small engine repair, mechanical work, or as a service technician.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of engine functionality and manufacturer-recommended service procedures required.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with basic computer systems, including diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting programs.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to provide quality customer service and effectively communicate with internal teams.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including availability for after-hours callouts as needed.</li>\n <li>Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes preferred (or ability to obtain certification).</li>\n <li>Must meet all internal driver eligibility requirements, including compliance with company policies, valid licensing, and acceptable driving record criteria.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Veterans Welcome&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>In NOV, we proudly support and hire U.S. military veterans.
