Direct appointments and referrals as determined by the current criteria. </li>\n <li>Develop, implement and evaluate the standards of practice and care for the patient population. </li>\n <li>Answer questions and provide teaching to patients and family members. </li>\n <li>Responsible for the development and ongoing coordination of care for patients. </li>\n <li>Act as a consultant both within the institution and to outside agencies or groups. </li>\n <li>Conduct or facilitate implementation of research studies and translate research findings into nursing practice.   </li>\n <li>Preauthorize care/procedures with insurance companies. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCT)</li>\n <li>High school diploma.</li>\n <li>BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.</li>\n</ul>",
