Job Type: Full-Time | Days
Schedule: 4 - 10 hour days, On-call required

Our Perioperative Services Department provides the majority of surgical care for Cochise County, supporting a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, podiatry, spine, vascular, and endoscopy. We are proud to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the surgical continuum.
This is a dynamic and rewarding environment that offers meaningful work, strong teamwork, and ongoing opportunities for learning and professional growth. Our team is highly collaborative, with a shared focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent patient outcomes.
Perioperative Services is a great place to work, with schedules that are generally Monday through Friday, consisting of four 10-hour shifts. Some call coverage is required to support after-hours and urgent patient needs. The pace can be fast and at times demanding, but it is also highly fulfilling for those who enjoy hands-on care and being part of a dedicated surgical team.
How You’ll Contribute
A PACU RN who excels in this role:
Performs duties as assigned and requested. Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition, procedures, medications, and treatments. Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors. Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills. Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope. Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors. Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly. Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

What we’re looking for:
Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred. Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License. BLS required. ACLS, PALS certifications are required within 1 year of hire. One year of experience preferred
