Be responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in all students achieving academic success. The teacher will be required to assist with students of all age group.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Planning and implementation of instructional activities for a cohort of adult learners preparing for the GED subject exams.</li>\n<li>Develop program timeline and weekly instructional schedule for learner persistence.</li>\n<li>Instruct students in reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and basic computer skills to adults functioning below the 12th grade level.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate date and student records for record keeping.</li>\n<li>Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.</li>\n<li>Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.</li>\n<li>Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.</li>\n<li>Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.</li>\n<li>Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.</li>\n<li>Ensures that student’s growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.</li>\n<li>Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating.</li>\n<li>Participates in training and presentations about online teaching.</li>\n<li>Must be willing to assist with students of all ages (Pre-k thru High School).</li>\n<li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning or as the result of organizational planning.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">MINIMUM, QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).</li>\n<li>Certified in relevant subject area.</li>\n<li>Teaching and online experience valued.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of students in a distance-learning environment.</li>\n<li>Operational knowledge of the internet and web-related technologies.</li>\n<li>Utilizes all required and recommended computer applications.</li>\n<li>Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skills.</li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li>\n<li>Accepts responsibility and is self-motivated.</li>\n<li>Works independently with little direct supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Necessary Requirements</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for the tribes insurance.</li>\n<li>Must pass local, state, and national background check.</li>\n<li>Must possess a Fingerprinting Clearance Card or obtain one.</li>\n<li>Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Master’s Degree preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions</span>:</p>\n<p>Physical ability: Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard and workstation.</p>\n<p>Sensory requirements: Some tasks require visual perceptions and discrimination.</p>\n<p>Some tasks require oral communications ability.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">HOW TO APPLY:</span></span></p>\n<p>Submit a completed Employment Application to: Human Resources Department, P.O.
