    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Overview of the Role:</strong></p>\n<p>Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Platform Engineer to build, secure, and evolve a production-grade enterprise data analytics platform supporting a federal agency. The platform supports large-scale data ingestion, validation, transformation, and analytical review across multiple statistical programs. This hands-on role spans React UIs, cloud infrastructure, AI integration, and compliance-driven security controls. The ideal candidate is security-first, shift-left in mindset, builds for end-users, and treats compliance as built-in — not bolted on.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a 100% remote position.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>Include, but are not limited to the following:</em></strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain React-based UIs: dashboards, data review interfaces, maps, and visualization components.</li>\n <li>Build backend services using Node.js/Express and Python (Flask/FastAPI) API services.</li>\n <li>Design advanced SQL queries and create scalable Python data pipelines using pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.</li>\n <li>Implement data validation rules, edit checks, imputation tracking, and data quality indicators.</li>\n <li>Integrate AI/ML capabilities including LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI), prompt engineering, RAG patterns, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling.</li>\n <li>Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub) with integrated security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA), container security, and policy-as-code.</li>\n <li>Manage containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) with image signing and runtime protection.</li>\n <li>Strengthen platform security through authentication, secrets management, encryption, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.</li>\n <li>Deploy and support applications on AWS, manage ETL/ELT pipelines, and optimize performance, reliability, and cost.</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with FISMA, NIST 800-53, CIPSEA, and FedRAMP-related controls and documentation.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with analysts, technical leads, PMs, and stakeholders to deliver iterative features and support user testing.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>US Citizenship Required</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Frontend:</strong> 3+ years with React, ES6+, state management, and data visualization tools such as Chart.js, Recharts, or D3.js.</li>\n <li><strong>Backend:</strong> 3+ years with Node.js/Express or Python (Flask/FastAPI), advanced SQL, RESTful APIs, JWT/RBAC, and OWASP Top 10 practices.</li>\n <li><strong>AI / ML:</strong> Experience with LLM API integration, prompt engineering, RAG, and machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.</li>\n <li><strong>DevSecOps:</strong> CI/CD with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, container security, and artifact signing.</li>\n <li><strong>Cloud:</strong> AWS, Terraform, VPC, IAM, WAF, CSPM, and SIEM integration.</li>\n <li><strong>Data:</strong> ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks or equivalent, pandas, PySpark, and data quality validation on large datasets.</li>\n <li><strong>Configuration:</strong> YAML-based business rules, schema validation, integrity verification, and hot-reload support.</li>\n <li><strong>Compliance:</strong> Familiarity with FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SSP/SAR/POA&M, audit logging, and privacy requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Security: </strong>CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CDP</p>\n<p><strong>Cloud: </strong>AWS Certified Security — Specialty</p>\n<p><strong>DevOps: </strong>CKA, CKS, Docker Certified Associate</p>\n<p><strong>Data: </strong>Databricks Certified Data Engineer, PCAP / PCPP</p>\n<p><strong>Compliance: </strong>CRISC, CISM</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Salary: $105,000.00 - $118,000.00</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Additional benefits include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay</li>\n <li>Medical Insurance</li>\n <li>Dental Insurance</li>\n <li>Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>Disability, Life Insurance, and AD&D</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>Pre-Tax 401K and/or After-Tax Roth IRA (with employer matching contribution)</li>\n <li>Tuition and Technical Training Reimbursement</li>\n <li>Wellness Benefit </li>\n <li>Tech Reimbursement </li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
