Description

Overview LMI is seeking a Senior Architect to serve as the lead enterprise architecture authority for the F-35 LogIT program. This role owns the high-level and mid-level architecture baseline for a DAAS-centered, data-centric integration fabric spanning OEM systems, Air Force systems, Navy systems, DLA systems, USTRANSCOM platforms, JPO environments, and Advana analytics environments. The role is responsible for shaping and maintaining the operational and system views that explain how sustainment information is generated, transformed, routed, secured, governed, and consumed across the F-35 enterprise. LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed. Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value. Responsibilities Lead the enterprise architecture for the F-35 LogIT solution, ensuring alignment across OEM data sources, DAAS, ELMS/DPAS, DLA EBS/IDE, ILS-S, Navy ERP, USTRANSCOM IGC, JPO systems, and Advana environments. Own and maintain architecture deliverables such as OV-1, SV-1, and OV-5b, including operational flow diagrams, system interaction narratives, stakeholder context, and data lifecycle workflows. Develop and maintain model-based architecture views in Cameo using SysML and applicable UAF/DoDAF constructs to support enterprise traceability, communication, and design governance. Establish modeling standards, naming conventions, relationships, viewpoints, and traceability patterns in Cameo so that architecture artifacts remain consistent, extensible, and auditable across the program. Define the architecture for secure and scalable transport of logistics, supply, readiness, and financial data across IL2, IL4, IL5, and potentially IL6 environments, including representation of Cross Domain Solutions, NIPR/SIPR separation, and security overlays. Architect message mediation and interoperability patterns across legacy and modern technologies, including DLMS, MILSTRIP, EDI X12, flat files, SQL, XML, REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and message broker patterns. Define canonical data models, metadata strategy, lineage expectations, quality controls, and system partitioning approaches that support auditability, traceability, and enterprise analytics alignment. Ensure the architecture reflects human-centered design requirements by incorporating mission users, stakeholder scenarios, and operational roles into the model and view set. Lead architecture workshops, stakeholder reviews, and concurrence sessions to refine views and maintain traceability back to the OSW parent perspective and enterprise mission outcomes. Support quarterly PI planning, sprint reviews, and roadmap activities by translating contract obligations and mission priorities into architectural guardrails, sequencing recommendations, and design decisions. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering management, enterprise architecture, or a related technical field. 10 or more years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems architecture, or large-scale integration architecture supporting defense, federal, ERP, logistics, or supply chain environments. Demonstrated experience producing architecture artifacts for complex system-of-systems environments, including operational views, system views, workflow models, interface views, and traceability structures. Demonstrated proficiency with Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw and SysML, with practical experience using model-based systems engineering to build and maintain architecture baselines. Experience applying UAF, DoDAF, or comparable defense architecture methods to communicate architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong understanding of DoD logistics and sustainment integration patterns involving government systems such as DAAS, ELMS/DPAS, DLA EBS/IDE, ILS-S, Navy ERP, JPO systems, USTRANSCOM IGC, or comparable mission systems. Working knowledge of ERP-centered data integration concepts, especially where SAP or comparable ERP platforms serve as a bridge between OEM workflows and government logistics or financial systems. Knowledge of secure architecture principles across DoD environments, including NIST 800-53, RMF, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust, CAC/PIV, PKI, RBAC/ABAC, encryption, and Cross Domain Solutions. Ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly to executives, program managers, system owners, and engineering teams. Active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting F-35, aviation sustainment, weapon system logistics, or similar defense modernization programs. Experience modeling security domains, bidirectional flows, data specificity, human actors, and integration-hub subfunctions in OV-1 and related views. Familiarity with agile and DevSecOps environments using Jira, GitLab, Confluence, PI Planning, and sprint-based delivery. Familiarity with enterprise analytics integration into Advana environments such as Jupiter, Blade, Pegasus, or SCREEn.Target Salary Range: $122,300 - $211,300 Disclaimer: The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
