We’re now looking for an experienced Loss Adjuster to join our team and help shape the future of property claims handling at OUTsurance.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About the Role</span><br>This is a hands-on technical role that will see you take ownership of large loss and complex property claims, carrying out desktop assessments and, where required, occasional field assessments. You will also act as the in-house technical expert for the property claims function, helping to drive best practices and mentor the wider claims team.</p>\n<p>You will play a key part in helping us establish and grow our property claims capabilities, with additional responsibilities including:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducting thorough desktop assessments of property damage claims.</li>\n<li>Carrying out occasional field assessments for complex or high-value claims.</li>\n<li>Acting as a technical referral point for claims advisors on large loss and complex claims.</li>\n<li>Assisting in the recruitment, training, and technical development of the Property Claims team.</li>\n<li>Supporting the procurement and management of service providers (e.g., builders, restoration companies, surveyors).</li>\n<li>Reviewing reports from external assessors and ensuring recommendations are appropriate and cost-effective.</li>\n<li>Helping to shape and improve property claims procedures, philosophies, and guidelines.</li>\n<li>Ensuring compliance with OUTsurance quality standards, Central Bank of Ireland regulations, and Consumer Protection Code obligations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About You</span><br>We’re looking for a technically strong, practical, and solutions-focused person who is passionate about delivering fair outcomes for customers, while safeguarding insurer interests.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Required Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years’ experience in Loss Adjusting, Loss Assessing, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.</li>\n<li>Proven experience handling large loss and/or complex property claims (both domestic and commercial experience welcomed).</li>\n<li>Strong report writing and negotiation skills.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Irish building standards, construction methods, and relevant regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Preferred (but not mandatory):</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>APA (Accredited Product Adviser) qualification or higher.</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Building Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a similar field.</li>\n<li>Experience working with or managing service providers (e.g., contractors, engineers, restoration specialists).</li>\n<li>Experience setting up technical procedures, quality control frameworks, or audit processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Personal Attributes:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customer-centric approach balanced with sound technical judgment.</li>\n<li>Strong communicator — able to explain complex technical matters clearly to non-technical audiences.</li>\n<li>Pragmatic and solutions-oriented.</li>\n<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.</li>\n<li>A team player who enjoys mentoring and supporting others.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Why Join OUTsurance?</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help shape a modern, customer-focused insurer from the ground up.</li>\n<li>Be part of a growing, agile organisation that values fresh thinking and initiative.</li>\n<li>Competitive salary package, benefits, and career growth opportunities.</li>\n<li>Opportunity to help build Ireland’s best-in-class claims service.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
