We are known for our hands-on, real-world approach and our commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships with every client.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re looking for an <strong>Architectural Drafter</strong> to join our Building Envelope Architecture team. In this role, you&rsquo;ll contribute technical design expertise to new construction AutoCAD drawings for new high-rise buildings. You&rsquo;ll work closely with project managers, architects, consultants, and clients to help deliver efficient, code-compliant, and high-quality building envelope solutions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead or assist in all phases of building envelope projects&mdash;from investigation and design through construction administration and close-out.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support the architecture team by preparing and reviewing construction documents, AutoCAD drawings, and detail packages.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to project requirements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout project lifecycles, including field inspections and quality control.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Stay up to date on NYC Building Codes, zoning regulations, and preservation standards.</li></ul></div><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Bring</strong></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">3-10 years of experience in building envelope, fa&ccedil;ade, or restoration work.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Architecture or related field.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with NYC Building Codes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to manage multiple projects independently.</li></ul></div><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Professional Licensure (RA or PE).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">OSHA 10 training</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">NYC DOB 4-Hour Supported Scaffold and/or 16-Hour Suspended Scaffold User Certifications.</li></ul></div><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Schedule</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position is based in New York City, with an onsite schedule.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Standard working hours are Monday- Friday, 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Travel requirements: Minimal</li></ul></div><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Comprehensive health, dental, and vision, insurance, and 401K plan.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Paid time off: Holiday, vacation, sick, personal and birthday.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Career development and growth opportunities.</li></ul></div><p><em>&nbsp;</em></p><p>Surface Design, a wholly owned subsidiary of Milrose Consultants, LLC, <em>is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
