    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">At KCI Construction, protecting our people is a top priority. As the Project Safety Manager, you will lead safety, risk management, and compliance efforts while partnering with project teams to create safe, productive, and compliant job sites.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This role will initially support a $200 million design-build transportation project, working alongside project leadership and field teams to drive safety performance and project success. As the project progresses, the role will expand to support multiple projects across KCI's portfolio. </span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of KCI's safety, loss control, and risk management programs across assigned projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop and maintain project-specific safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and risk mitigation strategies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Partner with project leadership, field supervision, subcontractors, and craft employees to promote a strong safety culture.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain a visible presence in the field through safety audits, inspections, observations, and coaching.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of safety concerns.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, MSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop and deliver safety training for employees, supervisors, and project teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support new employee orientation and ongoing safety education initiatives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Monitor Workers' Compensation claims and collaborate with operations and insurance partners to reduce claim costs and lost-time incidents.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Track safety performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participate in preconstruction planning to identify project risks and develop effective safety strategies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain required safety records, documentation, and regulatory reporting.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor's degree in occupational safety &amp; health or related field preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">10+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in heavy civil.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">DOT and MSHA experience preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 certification preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and safety training programs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The ideal candidate:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Leads by example and promotes accountability for safety at all levels.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Builds trust and credibility with field personnel and project leadership.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Balances compliance requirements with operational realities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrates sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving ability.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communicates effectively and drives follow-through on safety commitments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Embodies KCI's GRiT Values: Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Teamwork.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">KCI is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
