    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Our Atlanta, Georgia (GA) office is looking for a Civil Design Technician with 6+ years of experience to join our Discipline team!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards</li>\n <li>Develop technical drawings and plans </li>\n <li>The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations</li>\n <li>Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks</li>\n <li>Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes</li>\n <li>Maintains drawing database</li>\n <li>Will supervise and train CAD staff</li>\n <li>Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control</li>\n <li>Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>6+ years of relevant experience</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)</li>\n <li>Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and with a team</li>\n <li>Willingness to mentor and teach others</li>\n <li>Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter#LI-AT1</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why Kimley-Horn?</h2>\n<p>At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
