Tera Nova works for an impressive client base and is looking to expand in several areas of the environmental and industrial sectors.</p><p><br>The Field Technician / Laborer reports directly to the General Manager would play a critical role in maintaining and operating light equipment and performing physical labor needed to complete Environmental Remediation Projects. The Field Technician / Laborer will be able to perform physical construction work, light demolition, small machine operation, tank cleaning and industrial cleaning. The Field Technician / Laborer daily task will be directed by the project Superintendent.</p><p><br>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Completion of all job-specific, employee related paper work including timesheets, daily work reports, driver&rsquo;s logs, equipment inspection forms and tailgate safety meeting forms<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Safely and professionally operate company owned equipment in complete accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Support and play an active role in the Company&rsquo;s Health and Safety management system including hazard communication, tracking, near miss documentation, audits and training.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to use/operate basic construction tools, small and large electric pumps, fuel powered equipment, plate compactors, chain saw, etc..<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to operate light equipment such as skid-steer loaders.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to travel and work in different states as projects require.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to perform work under sustained hours, uncomfortable weather conditions and rough terrain.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to perform heavy lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds); use of hand tools, power tools, bending, shoveling and physically demanding tasks.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide other leadership skills on some sites depending on skill sets.<br><br>Minimum Qualifications and Experience<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience performing related work (general construction, industrial cleaning, emergency response).<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Valid Driver&rsquo;s license.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience working in a hazardous waste environment.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Qualified employees should possess the 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must show demonstrated success in being reliable and maintaining safe operations<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must be a creative problem solver have strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate with others.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must be available for emergency rotations.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Confined Space Training, CPR/First Aid Training are desirable.<br><br>Benefits<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Terra Nova offers competitive compensation and progressive benefits<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Paid Time Off (PTO)<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Paid holidays<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Job Type: Full-time non-exempt</p><p><br></p><p>Terra Nova supports a diverse a drug free workplace.
